Hello Again ...

Ok ... not doing so good at this whole blog commitment..

Well a few notes while I have a few minutes and yes, be prepared for a ramble as you know it's going to happen :o)

1. I saw a play this past weekend called Beyond Therapy. It was in the Dunbury Theater, which is a place I had never been to before we went that night. Mr. Man's friend / ex roommate was in the play so that was the initial reason why we went. It was a bonus that the play was actually good and pretty funny!

2. In two weeks, I am currently on my third book ... woohoo!! I can usually tear through a book and then, in the process of starting on book number 2, I get tired of having to read to get 'into' the book and I end up putting the book down. I read "Can You Keep a Secret" by Sophie Kinsella ... super cute chic lit book. After that I FINALLY read "Making Mischief" by Elizabeth Young .. loved it too!! Now I'm working on "A Girl's Best Friend" by Elizabeth Young. All of course are chic lit books, but after this I'm either starting Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series, or I may actually read The Hab Theory like I've been wanting to.

Ok .. so my currently reading list is NOT what anyone really cares about .. yea I know. But lately I've been putting in a bunch of hours at work, or at home working on work (yea .. I'm getting paid for it all too so that makes it at least easier to do). Anyway, my goal is when I'm not working, I want less TV and more reading and I've been doing pretty good so far, although a few nights I've been up until 2AM reading...

3. Poor poor Nina. So Monday night she went to bed wearing her harness with a leash wrapped around my arm. Archie is being treated for Cushings and therefore the water must stay down. So, I gave a slight tug on the leash just to let her know that it was there, and she of course just used it as a good excuse to snuggle in next to me. The next morning she woke up to have her mommy take her to the vet and have her womanhood removed. Again .. poor poor Nina.

So, here's the kicker. I take her to St Matthew's Animal Hospital because Animal Care Society gave me a $60 voucher when I adopted Nina. Even removing that from the bill .. I paid $190 for the services ... OMFG!! It was $70 for the spay, $60 for the anesthesia, and $30 for the mandatory overnight stay. The rest of the stuff was things related to her previous heartworm treatment (she was treated for heartworms before I adopted her). Needless to say ... I won't be going back because there prices are RIDICULOUS compared to other places around town.

Ok .. I'll try and be back later. Yes, much more has gone on but I'm out of spare time :o)
